• String Shot back off- ¾” OD to 1 7/16” OD String Shot
• The String Shot uses a precise amount of Prima Cord when detonated,  producing a vibratory shock wave for loosening or unscrewing a predetermined joint of pipe. It is detonated by an electric blasting cap. 

The back off is accomplished by the application of left-hand torque in the string when the shot explodes. The shot produces much the same effect as hammer blow and causes the joint to unscrew at the proper joint. We offer a variety of ODs from ¾” OD to 1 7/16” OD. 

Other uses of the String Shot include:

• 1. Jar shots for releasing stuck packer or anchors
• 2. Roll shots for jump collars
• 3. Key seat shots for running on the annulus and knocking drill collars out of key seats
• 4. Outside back off for running between the tubing and the casing out of a port sub to get below an obstruction in the tubing.

A very valuable tool in wireline pipe recovery operations is the 

Chammas Chemical Cutter. It will cut through tubing in a matter of seconds. The cut is flare free, burr free and is not distorted on either the ID or OD. No part of

the tool is expendable; therefore, no debris is left in the hole. 

We keep a wide range of Chemical Cutters in stock, and can overnight any special

need cutter. 

Our cutters range in size from 1 7/16” OD for 2.063” tubing to 4-9/16” OD.

The Jet Cutter is designed for severing tubing and casing. Jet Cutters are

available for cutting practically any size of pipe. 

*We try to keep stock on

hand for most common sizes of tubing and casing.

manufacturers makes and sizes of Jet Cutters. From Owen Oil Tools,

Hunting Titan and W.T. Bell.  

We use both regular and super cutters,

depending on the well conditions. 

*Our sizes range from 1.25” OD for 1.660”

OD tubing, to casing cutters as large as 8.250” OD for 9 5/8” casing.
